I bought it for $6k in August of 2014, fixed a few things while I owned it, and sold it to carmax for $2k because Craigslist buyers suck four months ago. It’s now on a lot for $8k at an independent dealer.

Sounds like you need to work on your negotiating and car advertising skills a little.

It’s at 8k so that the buyer thinks he got a deal when he picks it up for 5k.

Dealer will never get that for it though. Selling something special like a GTP really sucks. Especially if it’s got any mods in it. I’m surprised CM paid $2K for it.

It’s an ‘04, should go for about $4K tops. I’d be surprised if they got $5K for it unless it’s ridiculously low miles.

As compared to the bajillions of GT cars out there, the GTP with the supercharger should fetch a little extra. But they don’t. Similarly other performance packages don’t always fetch the extra $$ they should in resale value. Only a few of us care about performance...

Maybe it’s just Kansas, but I can throw a rock and hit a dozen supercharged Grand Prix.
